AC Milan are reportedly prepared to offload Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze this summer, with Spanish side Real Betis monitoring the situation closely, according to Milan News.

Chukwueze arrived at the San Siro from Villarreal in 2023 with high expectations, but has failed to cement his place in the starting XI.

Despite occasional flashes of brilliance, the 25-year-old has delivered a modest return of eight goals and six assists in 69 appearances across all competitions.

His inconsistency has led to frustration within the club’s hierarchy and new manager Massimiliano Allegri, tasked with reshaping the squad ahead of the 2025/26 season, has reportedly sanctioned his sale.

Allegri’s overhaul is already underway, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Noah Okafor also placed on the transfer list.

Loftus-Cheek, a marquee signing from Chelsea in 2023, failed to assert control in midfield on a consistent basis.

Okafor, who joined from RB Salzburg, has struggled to secure regular minutes under multiple managers.

Chukwueze’s familiarity with La Liga, where he spent five seasons with Villarreal, makes him an attractive option for Real Betis, who are seeking to bolster their attacking options.

A return to Spain could offer the Super Eagles international a chance to reboot his career in a more familiar environment.

Milan are expected to listen to offers in the coming weeks, as Allegri aims to trim the squad and reinvest in areas requiring reinforcement.
