<p> Currently, we have openings for licensed Workshop Technicians. The Workshop Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical aspects of mining equipment and components according to defined specifications.</p>

<p><b>What you will be doing</b></p>
<p> Follow scope of work within time constraints to meet established delivery targets.</p>
<p> Inspect equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions.</p>
<p> Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts components or systems according to scope of work.</p>
<p> Identify additional repairs, compile parts and labor estimates and communicate to the supervisor.</p>
<p> Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.</p>
<p> Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, parts listings and submit drawing revisions.</p>
<p> Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.</p>
<p> Stay current with industry, customer, product developments and technical best practices.</p>
<p> Build sound relationships with the workshop team and internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations.</p>
<p> Support and act as a mentor to workshop apprentices.</p>
<p> Undertake self-training and development as required.</p>
<p> Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Manager.</p>
<p> Environmental Health and Safety</p>

<p> What you will bring along</p>
<p> Technical (Mechanical) diploma is required.</p>
<p> Red Seal certification is required.</p>
<p> Minimum three (3) to five (5) years’ related experience with industry specific equipment.</p>
<p> Previous experience with Sandvik equipment is considered an asset.</p>
<p> Automotive, truck &; coach or heavy-duty equipment experience is considered a strong asset.</p>
<p> Ability to read/comprehend related schematics.</p>
<p> Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.</p>
<p> Strong written and verbal communication skills.</p>
<p> Flexible and self-motivated with demonstrated initiative.</p>
<p> Ability to develop knowledge of customer business processes in relation to product rebuilds.</p>
<p> Time management and organizational skills.</p>
<p> Computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook).</p>
<p> Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required).</p>
