<p>A Nigerian <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/woman"><strong>woman</strong></a> was arrested at 5:47 a.m. while attempting to illegally dispose of <strong>refuse</strong> at a bus stop in <strong>Lagos State</strong>.</p>
<p>The incident was reported on X (formerly Twitter) by the Managing Director of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Muyiwa Gbadegesin, via his official handle, @muyiwag.</p>
<p>In his statement, Gbadegesin wrote: <em>“At approximately 5:47 a.m. on Tuesday, 3 June 2025, @Lawma_gov Waste Infractions Surveillance and Investigation Team apprehended Ms. Amaka Onuchkwu while she was illegally off-loading refuse at the Akesan bus stop on LASU-Iba Road. This action violates Lagos State environmental regulations against indiscriminate dumping.”</em></p>
<p>He added that LAWMA operatives secured geo-tagged photos and video evidence of the offence before escorting the suspect to the Oshodi Environmental Taskforce Office.</p>
<p>Attempts to verify Ms. Onuchkwu’s residential address were unsuccessful.</p>
<p>The case file, along with digital evidence, has been forwarded to LAWMA’s legal unit for prosecution under the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law.</p>
