A Nigerian man has vowed to take action after mistakenly sending ₦200k instead of ₦20k to a vendor, who then went offline.
The incident was shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where the man detailed his experience.
In the post, he explained that the vendor had approached him in his DMs, pleading for his patronage, mentioning that there had been no sales this year. He intended to send the vendor ₦20k, but mistakenly transferred ₦200k instead.
Three days later, upon realizing the error, he contacted the vendor, asking for a refund of ₦150k, leaving the rest as a gift. However, the vendor suddenly went offline.
The man has since set a deadline for the refund, threatening further action if the money is not returned by 7 a.m. the following day.
His full statement read: “You came to my DM begging me to patronize you because you hadn’t made a single sale this year. I bought something for ₦10k, asked you to give it to someone nearby, and wanted to send ₦20k but mistakenly transferred ₦200k.”
“You locked up. When I realized the error on the third day, I asked you to send ₦150k and keep the rest, but you suddenly went offline.”
“A fi ibi su ol’ore. I know you’ll see this post. If I don’t receive an alert by 7 a.m. tomorrow, what I’ll do will be worse than what Burna Boy is currently doing to Speedy Darlington.”
