Job Type: Full-Time +, Non-Exempt

Pay: Competitive, Hourly

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Dive into exciting projects involving the installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment.
  • Showcase your expertise by calibrating and performing functional tests on microprocessor-based protective relays for high voltage substations.
  • Take charge of end-to-end relay testing using cutting-edge Doble ProTest software or Protection Suite.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate your professional skills in protective relay logic, protection schemes, and write-ups, while creating comprehensive documentation of test plans related to full commissioning substations.
  • Show off your knowledge of Doble ProTest or Protection Suite, and let your technical prowess shine.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as a proven commitment to safety and customer service.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
  • Valid driver s license preferred.

Education & Experience:

  • We value hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in high voltage substations.
  • Experience with installing, maintaining, testing, & repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and similar equipment.
  • Ideal experience: 5+ years for Mid-level or 8+ years for a Lead.

Pre-Screen:

  • Upon receiving an offer, you may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

Physical Requirements:

  • RARE (less than 10%): squatting, depth-perception, color-vision, crawling, pushing, pulling, seeing distant, climbing ladders, balancing, gripping.
  • OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense-of-touch, manual-dexterity, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs., lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., climbing stairs, carrying, lifting, range-of-motion, reaching.
  • FREQUENT (up to 66%): standing, walking, sitting.
  • CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): seeing, reading, hearing-speech-range, speaking clearly.
