<p><a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/mtn"><strong>MTN</strong></a> has apologized to Nigerians following the outrage that greeted its <strong>hike in data plans.</strong></p>
<p>In a statement on Thursday, the telecommunication company tendered it’s <strong>apologies to Nigerians</strong>, especially users of its 15 gig data bundles.</p>
<p>Recall that <strong>MTN</strong> effected a 200 per cent increase in the price of its 15gig data bundles, increasing it from N2k to N6k.</p>
<p>It pleaded with Nigerians to extend grace and understanding, stating that several factors were responsible for the increase.</p>
<p>It stated, “<em>To our 15gig digital bundle lovers, you dey vex, we know.</em></p>
<p><em>We know how upsetting it must have been to suddenly wake up to a 200% increase on your favourite digital bundle.</em></p>
<p><em>We could share several reasons and provide explanations, but omo, all that one na story.</em></p>
<p><em>We don cast. We get it and admit it. Let’s just say na mistake.</em></p>
<p><em>In this love season, don’t stay angry with us, please forgive and forget. You matter die and we will never stop showing you how much.”</em></p>
