<p> Watleys End Road is a registered nursing home that provides high levels of care for people who have learning disabilities. Staff are skilled at supporting people who have a variety of profound and complex health needs. Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours a day. Each person we support has a tailored care plan and fun activities are arranged inside and outside of the home.</p>
<p> Situated in Winterbourne the home is easily commutable from Bradley Stoke, Downend, Mangotsfield and Yate.</p>
<p> As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include: </p>
<ul>
<li>Assisting with decision-making and promoting independence</li>
<li>Support people to develop and maintain contact with family and friends.</li>
<li>To encourage positive self-image and maintain health and wellbeing.</li>
<li>Provide access to the community, enabling the people we support to participate in sports clubs, social events and creative endeavours.</li>
</ul>
<p> The people living at Watleys End Road are looking to recruit staff to join their established team of Support Workers. The home provides a 24 hour service that supports 14 adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.</p>
<p> We provide a 24 hour, 7 day per week service, so staff are expected to work flexibly across various shifts.7.00-14.30, 13.30-21.00, 15.30-23.00, Waking night 21.00-07.00. A range of shift cover is required and weekends at least 2 to work each month</p>
<p> The successful Support Worker will: </p>
<ul>
<li>Have excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Have a caring manner and a tolerant nature.</li>
<li>Ideally have experience, although this is not essential, as full training will be provided.</li>
<li>Be pro-active, reliable and enthusiastic.</li>
</ul>
