<p><b>Job description</b>: Seven Criminal Justice are actively looking for a dedicated and empathetic Substance Misuse Worker to join our committed team in Chelmsford. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting people who are struggling with substance misuse issues, ensuring the proper care and intervention methods are employed to improve their overall well-being.</p>
<p><b>Job Role:</b></p>
<p> 1. Work directly with individuals suffering from drug and alcohol addictions, providing counseling, support, and intervention.</p>
<p> 2. Complete thorough assessments of clients&#8217; substance misuse problems and create individualized treatment plans.</p>
<p> 3. Conduct regular follow-up sessions to monitor clients&#8217; progress and modify treatment plans as required.</p>
<p> 4. Assist clients in identifying and accessing necessary resources and services – such as housing, employment, and medical assistance.</p>
<p> 5. Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops to educate clients about substance misuse and coping strategies.</p>
<p> 6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and social services to ensure a holistic approach to client care.</p>
<p> 7. Maintain confidentiality and respect clients’ privacy.</p>
<p> 8. Prepare and maintain accurate client records, treatment plans, and progress reports.</p>
<p> 9. Stay current on relevant research, best industry practices and local regulations.</p>
<p><b>Requirements:</b></p>
<p> 1. Proven experience as a Substance Misuse Worker or a similar role in the mental health field.</p>
<p> 2. A recognized qualification in social work, nursing, psychology, counseling or related field.</p>
<p> 3. An in-depth understanding of substance misuse issues, intervention techniques, and the recovery process.</p>
<p> 4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.</p>
<p> 5. An empathetic and supportive approach, with an ability to respect and maintain client confidentiality.</p>
<p> 6. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases.</p>
<p> 7. Valid driver&#8217;s license and the ability to travel as necessary.</p>
