<p><b>Job description</b>: Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Worker in Bedfordshire to assist individuals struggling with various forms of substance and alcohol abuse. This position involves providing support through counseling, therapy, and treatment planning. As a Substance Abuse Worker, you will help clients adopt healthier behaviours and also support them in their road to recovery.</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p> 1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals suffering from substance abuse issues.</p>
<p> 2. Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.</p>
<p> 3. Offer person-centered counseling and crisis intervention as needed.</p>
<p> 4. Organize and facilitate group therapy sessions.</p>
<p> 5. Refer clients to additional support services, such as medical professionals or community resources.</p>
<p> 6. Assist with detoxification and withdrawal processes when needed.</p>
<p> 7. Continually evaluate clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.</p>
<p> 8. Provide educational sessions and materials to clients about substance abuse and its consequences.</p>
<p> 9. Establish supportive, professional relationships with clients and their family members.</p>
<p><b>Qualifications and Skills:</b></p>
<p> 1. Must have a diploma or degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.</p>
<p> 2. Preference will be given to candidates who have professional certification in addiction counseling or related field.</p>
<p> 3. At least two years of experience managing substance abuse cases is preferred.</p>
<p> 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p>
<p> 5. Sound knowledge of substance abuse counseling techniques and best practices.</p>
<p> 6. Must have empathy, patience, and resilience to work with challenging clientele.</p>
<p> 7. Commitment to abide by all data privacy and confidentiality regulations.</p>
