The Position

As a Specialist Product Advisor, you will be based ideally in Lagos, Nigeria. You will be responsible for promotion and sales of our products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, and/or list of customers’ accounts. This is 100% field position.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure territory sales, analyse, and diagnose territory, make, and execute territory plan. Execute according to marketing strategy.
  • Work according to Business Ethics procedures, local law, Novo Nordisk Way and Novo Nordisk policies, quality standards & guidelines.
  • Build effective relationships with assigned customers, provide them with information on our products, devices and indications and ensure consistent follow up. Conduct customer contacts and register them in IOENGAGE.
  • Participate in and contribute effectively to regional meetings, national conferences, and other Novo Nordisk meetings, participate in and contribute effectively to cross functional collaboration (field functions). Organising (educational) customer events and ensure follow up.
  • Liaising with colleagues including Sales, Marketing, Market Access and CMR to maximise the sales of Novo Nordisk products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Pharmacy, Pharmacology or Biological Sciences.
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical field sales.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrate an ability and passion to influence from a patient-centred approach; strong attention to quality and detail; good planning and organizational skills and the agility and willingness to quickly adjust to new situations in a continuously developing environment; ability to engage people with different backgrounds (Science, business, etc.) and work within a diverse environment.
  • Personality wise dynamic high-performer with a strong performance-driven track record who is highly engaged.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills and excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to negotiate.
  • Willingness to collaborate with stakeholders and drive their personal development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good command of English are required; and good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
