Job description: Seven Social Care are currently seeking a highly-skilled, compassionate, and reliable Social Worker to serve in the Brent community. In this role, you will work directly with a diverse clientele to help them navigate their social, personal, and health challenges effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and assess individualized plans to address clients’ particular needs.

2. Advocate for and assist clients in obtaining resources that would improve their well-being.

3. Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ social, emotional, and environmental status.

4. Offer counseling and support, including therapy to individuals or groups.

5. Collaborate and consult with other professionals regarding mental or physical health.

6. Develop and maintain professional relationships with local, regional, and national resources and community services.

7. Prepare accurate reports and maintain up-to-date client records.

8. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all client information in accordance with legal standards.

9. Stay up to date with relevant legislation and policy related to social work.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution.

2. Solid experience as a social worker, preferably within the Brent community.

3. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

4. Comprehensive knowledge of social work principles and practices.

5. Excellent ability to facilitate positive change and independence in clients.

6. Strong communication, negotiation, and mediating skills.

7. Ability to work under pressure in challenging situations.

8. Demonstrated cultural competency to work with diverse client population.

9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other case management software.

10. Ability to travel to clients across Brent.

Working Hours:

This position is full-time, although part-time may be considered for the right candidate. Hours are flexible, though some evening and weekend work may be required depending on the service users’ needs.
