<p> <b>Job Summary</b></p>
<p> The Signals and Communications (S&;C) Project Officer is responsible for carrying out all aspects of special capital projects and systems developed within the S&;C Project Management group.</p>
<p> <b>Main Responsibilities</b></p>
<p> · Develop and track all S&;C special capital projects, from estimation to completion</p>
<p> · Act as liaison between external S&;C departments and team to ensure projects are addressed with all necessary stakeholders (e.g. Mechanical, Information and Technology (I&;T), Transportation, Track, etc.)</p>
<p> · Track annual project budgets and material by ensuring that all necessary material is being ordered to support projects</p>
<p> · Interact with vendors to obtain technical information, material status, and project quotes as necessary</p>
<p> · Create and maintain S&;C&#8217;s special capital dashboard</p>
<p> · Follow-up, provide and identify information on issues surrounding project finances, construction, and potential obstacles</p>
<p> · Collaborate with field forces to ensure project scopes are taking in account local knowledge</p>
<p> <b>Working Conditions</b></p>
<p> The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The incumbent must be available to work weekends and holidays when necessary. The role requires being available on-call 24/7 to respond to critical incidences.</p>
<p> <b>Requirements</b></p>
<p> <b>Experience</b></p>
<p> Railroad Signals and Communications</p>
<p> · Between 2 to 5 years of railroad experience</p>
<p> o Experience in project management</p>
<p> · Interact with vendors to obtain technical information, material status, and project quotes as necessary</p>
<p> · Create and maintain S&;C&#8217;s special capital dashboard</p>
<p> · Follow-up, provide and identify information on issues surrounding project finances, construction, and potential obstacles</p>
<p> · Collaborate with field forces to ensure project scopes are taking in account local knowledge</p>
<p> Education/Certification/Designation</p>
<p> · Bachelor&#8217;s Degree a in related construction management or electrical background discipline</p>
<p> · Qualified or ability to qualify in Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR), United States Operating Rules (USOR), and On-Track Safety (OTS)</p>
<p> · Project Management Professional (PMP) certification*</p>
<p> *Any designation for these above would be considered as an asset</p>

<p> · Knowledge of S&;C material and construction</p>
<p> · Understanding of S&;C design track and location plans</p>
