<p><b>Job description</b>: Seven Social Care are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Social Worker to join our team in Walsall, UK. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of social work to users and carers based on an assessment of need and aimed at promoting and maximizing independence and well-being.</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p> 1. Carry out the duties of a professionally qualified social worker, compliant with the professional standards, as laid down by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).</p>
<p> 2. Conduct assessments for clients, taking into account social and economic factors, to determine what services are required.</p>
<p> 3. Prepare professional reports and participate in multidisciplinary meetings aimed to provide the best support to the client.</p>
<p> 4. Develop and implement care plans that satisfy the assessed needs of clients in consultation with other health professionals.</p>
<p> 5. Provide practical help and advice to clients in a bid to solve their problems.</p>
<p> 6. Supervise junior social workers, support staff, and student placements as required and demonstrate best practice standards at all times.</p>
<p> 7. Work collaboratively with partner agencies, using joint training and shared learning opportunities.</p>
<p> 8. Adhere to all statutory procedures, safeguarding children and adults at risk, and promoting their welfare and safety.</p>
<p><b>Requirements:</b></p>
<p> 1. Degree or Diploma in Social Work.</p>
<p> 2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).</p>
<p> 3. Experience in child and family management, mental health, or public health.</p>
<p> 4. Proven experience as a Senior Social Worker.</p>
<p> 5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.</p>
<p> 6. Knowledge and experience of relevant legislation applicable to social care.</p>
<p> 7. Excellent crisis management skills.</p>
<p> 8. Willingness to attend training courses and stay updated with current policies affecting social care work.</p>
<p> 9. Sensitivity and understanding for people from various backgrounds.</p>
<p> Note: This role may require flexible hours and on-call duties, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our service users.</p>
