<p><b>Job description</b>: Seven Social Care are looking for a committed, dedicated, and highly skilled Senior Social Worker to join our Disabled Children&#8217;s Team based in Hammersmith. As an integral part of the team, you&#8217;ll use your knowledge and experience to help transform the lives of disabled children and their families.</p>
<p><b>Job Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p> 1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of disabled children’s needs in accordance with the legislative framework, policy, and procedures.</p>
<p> 2. Develop and deliver multiagency, holistic care plans aimed at meeting the assessed needs, improving the lives of disabled children and their families.</p>
<p> 3. Provide comprehensive social work services to disabled children and families, including those in need of protection.</p>
<p> 4. Assist in training and development initiatives for junior staff members and actively contribute to the supervision of less experienced social workers.</p>
<p> 5. Work in close collaboration with colleagues and partnership agencies to provide a multidisciplinary approach to all stages of child development.</p>
<p> 6. Organise and manage effectively the process of change, bearing in mind the effects on the child and the family.</p>
<p> 7. Maintain accurate records and write reports, including assessments, child protection enquiries and care proceedings.</p>
<p> 8. Maintain current knowledge of legislation applicable to child welfare and best practice guidelines.</p>
<p><b>Required Qualifications:</b></p>
<p> 1. A degree in social work and a valid Social Work England registration.</p>
<p> 2. Comprehensive experience working with disabled children.</p>
<p> 3. Thorough understanding of the relevant legal and policy framework and professional regulations.</p>
<p> 4. Demonstrable expertise in multi-professional assessments of children with complex needs.</p>
<p> 5. Experience providing supervision to less experienced social workers.</p>
<p> 6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.</p>
<p> 7. Ability to manage and prioritise complex workloads.</p>
<p><b>Preferred Skills:</b></p>
<p> 1. Knowledge of relevant child care legislation.</p>
<p> 2. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.</p>
<p> 3. Experience in using IT and information systems to record social work data.</p>
<p> 4. Demonstrable ability to effectively deal with stress and pressure.</p>
