at Cranfield University has built an enviable track record focused on low carbon vehicle engineering for on-road and off-road vehicles&period; Since its creation in 2016&comma; AVEC has grown year on year thanks to the exceptional dedication of its staff&comma; and its world class experimental facilities&comma; many of which are unique to Cranfield&period; The research and consultancy carried out by the Centre is truly inspirational&comma; undertaken for public bodies and industrial clients worldwide&comma; including the major Automotive OEM&&num;8217&semi;s&comma; consultants and Tier 1 suppliers&comma; Formula 1&comma; Formula 2&comma; GT&comma; WRC and Dakar race teams&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> This post represents a unique opportunity to join this dynamic team and help lead the development of Automotive teaching and research within the Centre&period; This role will support the continued development of the Automotive MSc course and associated research activity with a particular focus on Automotive Engineering design principles including overall vehicle system design&comma; target setting&comma; benchmarking&comma; and system integration&comma; including system level optimisation&period; As well as developing research proposals in this area to support our commercial clients and public funding opportunities&comma; the job holder will be expected to lead the Automotive Engineering MSc as Course Director and develop the course to embrace the new technologies and approaches required by the sector&period; The job holder will also be expected to contribute to academic research output&comma; and promotion of the Centre&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><b>About You<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> You will be educated to doctoral level in Automotive Engineering or equivalent significant industrial experience&period; With experience of Automotive design integration including the major components of powertrain&comma; chassis&comma; braking&comma; HVAC etc&period; you will also require experience of project management&comma;
