The Role
The Senior Internal Auditor-IT (SIA-IT) will assist in the delivery of the risk-based Internal Audit Plan (IAP) for the Collinson Group. They will be required to conduct reviews around all areas of the business (i.e. non-IT related audits, as per the IAP), in addition to complex reviews across the IT environment. This will include undertaking the end-to-end audit process from planning through to fieldwork and reporting, producing high quality deliverables and developing collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including presenting to the Audit Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Working as part of Collinson’s third line of defence, the SIA-IT’s responsibilities will include:
· Support the Internal Audit Manager in delivering internal audit activities across Collinson Group.
· Support the Internal Audit Manager in developing and maintaining the Strategic and Annual
Internal Audit Plans (IAP) for the Collinson Group, ensuring it is linked to Collinson’s wider strategic objectives.
· Perform risk-based internal audit assignments to deliver the IAP for Collinson Group.
· Perform IT internal audits across the IT environment, e.g. ITGC, IT Cyber Security, Data, IT Disaster Recovery, IT governance reviews, etc. · Perform Entity Healthchecks, focussing on the systems of internal control in place to mitigate key risks and those which ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
Key Knowledge and Experience
Must have a strong internal audit background and significant previous internal auditing experience (including IT and Finance internal audits). Experience of working with top ten audit firm is desirable.
· Must have a relevant internal auditing or accountancy qualification (e.g. CIA, CMIIA, ACCA) and a relevant IT Audit qualification (i.e. CISA, or similar).
· Strong organisational skills to plan and deliver audits, with a passion about internal audit.
· Self-starter with the ability to prioritise tight deadlines, organise and plan work to deliver IAP activities.
· Be a positive catalyst for change, using professional experience and knowledge to support management drive improvements to the business.
· A desire to raise Internal Audit’s profile and promote it as an effective commercial resource and advantage for the company.
