We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our vibrant team at a Primary School in Bodmin, Cornwall.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support for students with special education needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Implement and adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support students in developing social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO to implement and review individual education plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant would be an advantage, particularly in a Special Educational Needs setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special education (desired but not essential).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
