We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our vibrant team at a Primary School in Bodmin, Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support for students with special education needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Implement and adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of students.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Support students in developing social skills and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with the SENCO to implement and review individual education plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant would be an advantage, particularly in a Special Educational Needs setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special education (desired but not essential).
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
