<p> Full Time &#8211; 42.5 hours per week</p>
<p> <b>The Opportunity:</b></p>
<p> Maintenance Services currently employ a mix of 85+ trades, semi-skilled and trade apprentice staff within its department who are responsible for the service and repair of over 500 buildings within the University of Edinburgh estate.</p>
<p> We now require a Semi-Skilled Operative to join our multi-disciplined Easter Bush Trade&#8217;s Team. You will be joining a team that provides exceptional customer services to an expanding world class estate.</p>
<p> You will have significant experience of maintenance work within complex building services and estates. Strong communication skills and a willingness to proactively engage with Estates colleagues and customers.</p>
<p> A driving licence is essential as there will be a requirement to drive University vehicles.</p>
<p> Your skills and attributes for success: </p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of various routine trade specific duties.</li>
<li>Experience of working within a maintenance department.</li>
<li>Driving Licence.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and a willingness to proactively engage with Estates colleagues and customers.</li>
<li>A desire to drive a high-quality service to customers across the estate.</li>
<li>Practical knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.</li>
<li>A willingness to accept and drive change, and support colleagues as required.</li>
<li>Basic computer literacy.</li>
