<p><strong>Saudi Arabia</strong> has officially declared Sunday, March 30, 2025, as the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.</p>
<p>The <a target="_blank" href="http://www.gistreel.con/?s=announcement"><strong>announcement</strong></a> came after the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia confirmed the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon on the evening of Saturday, March 29.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Following Saudi Arabia’s confirmation, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar also announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on March 30.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Religious authorities in both nations verified the moon sighting and released official Eid prayer timings for worshippers across major mosques.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Unlike Saudi Arabia, India, Oman, and Iran reported that the crescent moon was not sighted on March 29.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">As a result, these countries will complete 30 days of Ramadan, and Eid will be observed on Monday, March 31.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Islamic scholars in India emphasized that the decision follows traditional lunar calculations, ensuring adherence to Islamic teachings.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Similar to India, Bangladesh and Indonesia confirmed that Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on March 31 due to the absence of the moon sighting on March 29.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Religious bodies in these countries affirmed that Ramadan will extend to 30 days, following Islamic rulings that require a full lunar cycle in the absence of a visible crescent.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">The Islamic lunar calendar relies on moon sightings to determine the start and end of religious months, leading to regional variations in Eid celebrations.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">While Saudi Arabia’s declaration often serves as a guide for many Muslim-majority nations, others conduct independent moon sighting observations based on their local conditions.</p>
