 Job Location: Ota, Ogun<br />

<p><b>Job Duties</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Making sure that equipment is working properly, inspecting machinery for defects, and ordering repairs as needed</li>
<li>Providing first aid in emergencies and monitoring the condition of ill workers until medical help arrives</li>
<li>Preparing workers for emergencies by conducting fire drills and evacuation simulations</li>
<li>Maintaining records of accidents, injuries, and near misses to help prevent future incidents</li>
<li>Observing work areas for unsafe conditions and taking appropriate action to correct the issue</li>
<li>Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety procedures, rules, and regulations</li>
<li>Educating employees about safety rules and regulations, equipment usage, and accident prevention techniques</li>
<li>Training new workers in safety procedures and performing routine inspections to ensure compliance</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Requirements</b></p>
<ul>
<li>NCE / ND / HND in Safety Management, Engineering or relevant field is preferred</li>
<li>Certificate in occupational health and safety</li>
<li>Proven experience as safety assistant</li>
<li>Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus</li>
<li>Outstanding organizational skills</li>
<li>Diligent with great attention to detail</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures</li>
<li>Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices</li>
<li>Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety</li>
<li>Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Expected salary</b>: 70000 per month<br />
