<p><strong><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/chelsea" rel="noopener">Chelsea</a></strong> secured a spot in the Carabao Cup final in style, ruthlessly thrashing <strong><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/?s=middlesbrough" rel="noopener">Middlesbrough</a></strong> 6-1 at Stamford Bridge.</p>
<p>The Blues also set a new record for the biggest League Cup semi-final second-leg victory since 2001.</p>
<p>Mauricio Pochettino’s men came into the game trailing from the first leg but left no room for doubt with a clinical display at home.</p>
<p>The tone was set early on as Jonny Howson’s own goal put Chelsea ahead after just 15 minutes. This was followed by quickfire goals from Enzo Fernandez and Axel Disasi.</p>

<p>Cole Palmer added a fourth before halftime, effectively clearing the doubts over Chelsea’s intentions to humiliate their visitors.</p>
<p>They continued the onslaught in the second half, with Palmer scoring his second of the night.</p>
<p>Noni Madueke added another for Chelsea before Middlesbrough pulled one back through Morgan Rogers, providing a small consolation for the visiting fans.</p>
<p>Chelsea will now play the winners of the other semi-final between Liverpool and Fulham in the final scheduled for February 25th.</p>
