Cristiano Ronaldo has offered words of encouragement to Spain’s teenage star Lamine Yamal after Portugal’s dramatic UEFA Nations League win in Munich on Sunday night.

The legendary forward also confirmed he will remain at Al-Nassr.

In a match billed as a symbolic duel between the 40-year-old icon and the 17-year-old prodigy, Ronaldo played a decisive role as Portugal came from behind twice before edging Spain on penalties to claim a second Nations League title.

Yamal, though involved in Spain’s opening goal, struggled to impose himself and was twice exposed defensively, particularly by Nuno Mendes.

Post-match, Ronaldo urged the media to be patient with Yamal. “He’s only 17… he’s a phenomenon, but we have to leave him alone. He’ll win many titles, both collective and individual,” the Portuguese captain said.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also reaffirmed his immediate future, stating: “Nothing will change. Will I stay at Al-Nassr? Yes,” ending speculation around his expiring contract with the Saudi Pro League side.
