<p><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/robin-van-persie"><strong>Robin van Persie</strong></a> has been officially appointed as <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/feyenoord"><strong>Feyenoord’s</strong></a> new head coach, marking his first major managerial role in Dutch football.</p>
<p>The former Arsenal and <strong>Manchester United</strong> striker replaces Brian Pliske, who was dismissed earlier this month.</p>
<p>Van Persie, 41, takes charge just days after Feyenoord knocked AC Milan out of the Champions League. He has signed a contract running until mid-2027.</p>
<p>Expressing his excitement, Van Persie told the club’s website: “Everyone knows how special my bond with Feyenoord is.</p>
<p>“I am really looking forward to working with the players and staff at 1908, playing matches in De Kuip, and achieving success together with the fans.”</p>
<p>Despite being in his first year of management, Van Persie has already impressed, leading Heerenveen to ninth in the Eredivisie before his appointment.</p>
<p>Now, he faces the challenge of guiding Feyenoord in their title chase and preparing for a Champions League last-16 clash with Inter Milan.</p>
<p>His first match in charge will be against NEC Nijmegen on Saturday, as Feyenoord, currently third in the league, aim to close the gap on the leaders.</p>
