Frank Lampard is being considered for a return to Premier League management following a reported interest from Southampton.
This comes after the Chelsea legend’s impressive performance at Coventry City.
Lampard, 46, took the reins at Coventry in November, marking his comeback to management after a forgettable spell at Everton and a short-lived caretaker stint at Chelsea.
Since arriving, he has steered the Sky Blues from 17th place to the Championship play-off positions, reviving his managerial reputation and drawing plaudits for his attacking style and man-management.
According to talkSPORT, Lampard is now on Southampton’s radar following their decision to part ways with manager Ivan Juric, less than 24 hours after a 3-1 defeat to Tottenham sealed the club’s relegation to the Championship.
The Saints are reportedly compiling a shortlist for next season’s campaign, with Lampard emerging as a viable option.
Also under consideration are Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Röhl, Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior and former Norwich and Huddersfield boss David Wagner.
