<p> Our client is an operational non-profit organization with a mission to strengthen child protection and prevent child sexual abuse. They currently have an opening for a Registered Nurse in Lagos.</p>
<p> <b>Job Summary</b></p>
<p> The registered nurse or RN monitors patients, administers medications, keeps client records,consults with healthcare providers, and educates the patient on health matters. Also, the registered nurse will be responsible for managing the quality of care received by victims of child sexual abuse through direct and indirect patient care, professional and public education, consultation, development of standards and protocols, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research.</p>
<p> <b>Job Responsibilities</b></p>
<p> Health and Safety Measures</p>
<p> â Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.</p>
<p> â Report to the doctor/supervisor on time any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.</p>
<p> â Ensure that professional practice in the team is carried out to the highest standards and developed in line with the clinic and shelter&#8217;s stated objectives of continual improvement in the quality of its services.</p>
<p> â Ensure that the Health and Safety policy, organization arrangements and procedures related to areas, activities and personnel under your control are understood, implemented and monitored.</p>
<p> â Follow care regulations and standards.</p>
<p> Patient Care</p>
<p> â Acts as a 24-hour on-call nurse for the clinic and shelter.</p>
<p> â Assess patient status and take appropriate action.</p>
<p> â Work with the case management team to give the best patient care.</p>
<p> â Administer medications to patients and monitor them for side effects and reactions.</p>
<p> â Record patient vital signs and medical information; order medical diagnostic and clinical tests.</p>
<p> â Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members and the case management team.</p>
<p> â Modify patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and response.</p>
<p> â Identify patients’ care requirements, focus on their needs and act on them.</p>
<p> â Resolve or report on patients’ needs or problems.</p>
<p> â Prepare clients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor pulse, blood pressure and temperature, provide drugs and injections etc.)</p>
<p> â Treat medical emergencies.</p>
<p> Record Keeping and Reports</p>
<p> â Keep clients’ information and records confidential.</p>
<p> â Maintain accurate, complete health care records and reports.</p>
<p> â Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.</p>
<p> <b>Requirements &; Qualification</b></p>
<p> â Must have a BSC in Nursing and must have done at least two (2) nursing certifications.</p>
<p> â A Master&#8217;s in Nursing is an added advantage.</p>
<p> â Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years post-NYSC.</p>
