<p> Our client, a fast-growing premier food manufacturing company with products sold worldwide, is seeking an experienced R&;D Meat Food Scientist for one of their Research Laboratories. This position will support multiple manufacturing plant facilities.</p>
<p> <b>Responsibilities:</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Create new food formulations and samples through R&;D.</li>
<li>Identify new ingredients to apply towards new innovative food products.</li>
<li>Document product specifications &; processes that will be consistent with the production of various manufactured food products.</li>
<li>Conduct internal &; external audits at multiple locations to measure product quality.</li>
<li>Manage food product document control and records, specifications, attaining food safety, verification, product identification trace and incident management.</li>
<li>Work with the R&;D team to assure all specifications (ingredient specification, formula specification, making specifications, finished product specifications, trade specifications, labeling specification, proper handling specifications) are accurately developed before product launch.</li>
</ul>
<p> Requirements:</p>
<p> BS. Degree in a related field of Food Science, Microbiology, Meat Science, Animal Science or Chemistry </p>
<ul>
<li>3+ years or more experience in R&;D or Food Technology from a food manufacturing or food development company.</li>
<li>2+ years of R&;D experience with meat products.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of FDA &; US Government regulations, including labeling &; nutritional facts with use of Genesis Nutritional Software.</li>
<li>Must be detailed oriented with excellent communication skills.</li>
<li>Excellent technical writing skills.</li>
<li>Experience with MS Office Suite and Excel.</li>
<li>Ability to travel regionally with some overnight stays required.</li>
<li>Ability to relocate in the South Central Region with the employer to cover moving expenses.</li>
<li>Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.</li>
