Position : Project Manager /Lagos (Oil & Gas Sector)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate should possess 10-12 years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of project management methodologies specific to the industry. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing oil and gas projects, ensuring their successful completion within scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Initiation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, setting expectations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Manage project team members, assign tasks, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
Scope and Change Management
- Monitor and control project scope, identifying and managing changes through appropriate change control processes.
- Communicate scope changes to stakeholders and assess their impact on project timelines and resources.
Budget and Cost Control
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Implement cost control measures to prevent budget overruns and optimize resource utilization.
Schedule Management
- Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities and potential bottlenecks.
- Monitor progress, adjust timelines as needed, and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Proactively address challenges to minimize project disruptions and deviations from the plan.
Quality Assurance
- Establish quality standards and ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct regular audits to verify compliance.
Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks.
- Address concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
- Ensure that projects adhere to industry-specific health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
Reporting and Documentation
- Generate project reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes.
Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Apply insights to refine project management processes and enhance future project outcomes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 10-12 years of progressive project management experience in the Oil and Gas industry.

- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
