<p>A Nigerian<a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/POS-agent"><strong> Point of Sale (POS) agent</strong> </a>has shared a shocking experience of how she was allegedly scammed of â¦370,000 by a <strong>man</strong> who used charm, deception, and lies to take off with her money.</p>
<p>The account, which has since gained attention on TikTok, was shared by the female POS agent, who narrated how the incident unfolded at her business stand.</p>
<p>According to her, the man approached her asking if she had â¦470,000 in cash for withdrawal. She responded that she only had â¦370,000 available at the time.</p>
<p><em>“Yesterday, this guy came to my POS stand. He said he wants to withdraw â¦470,000 and I told him I don’t have up to that amount, that I have only â¦370,000,”</em> she said.</p>
<p>She said the man proceeded to make a phone call, claiming to be calling his boss to confirm if the amount was acceptable. After ending the call, he discussed the service charges with her.</p>
<p>“<em>He said okay that he’ll call his boss. Immediately, he brought out his phone and he called somebody and the person was like he can get it.”</em></p>
<p>“<em>He cut the call and asked how much is the charge. I said â¦5,000, but he said he can only afford â¦4,000.”</em></p>
<p>The man reportedly made another call, this time discussing a different fee with someone else.</p>
<p>“<em>He took out his phone and made another phone call. He told the person â¦7,500 for the charges, but the person told him he can only afford â¦6,500.”</em></p>
<p>She explained that the man then asked her to follow him to his office to retrieve his ATM card, as he claimed he didn’t have it on him.</p>
<p>“<em>He said I should follow him to his office. When we got to the gate, he asked if I have a nose mask, and I said no. So he said I can’t follow him inside.”</em></p>
<p>At that point, he asked her to count the money while he briefly went inside. Shortly after, he returned and said his boss needed to scan the cash for counterfeit notes.</p>
<p>“<em>He said I should count the cash, and I started counting the cash. He left and came back and said his boss wants to scan the cash, that they’ve already been scammed with fake notes before. The way he was sounding, I wasn’t feeling myself.”</em></p>
<p>As soon as he walked away again, the people within the office premises—both staff and security—denied knowing the man when she tried to inquire.</p>
<p><em>“Immediately this guy left there, the people—both the security and the ladies—asked if I was the POS agent, and they all denied knowing him. They said they don’t know the guy.”</em></p>
<p>Sensing something was wrong, she immediately ran barefoot after him.</p>
<p><em>“I immediately pulled off my slippers and ran as fast as I could. I saw the back of his round-neck shirt across the road. I didn’t even shout ‘thief’ or ‘ole,’ I just ran so fast and dragged him back to the office he claimed was his boss’s.”</em></p>
<p>She said the man initially denied everything until the police were involved.</p>
<p><em>“Immediately they closed the door and everything, I started asking for my cash. He wanted to deny it. I called my guy, I called police officer. When we got to the station, â¦70,000 was missing. It was only â¦300,000 they found with him.”</em></p>
<p>According to her, the man later confessed to the crime during a tough confrontation. She stated that she believed charm or some form of manipulation was involved due to how disoriented she felt during the transaction.</p>
<p>The video has since attracted hundreds of reactions, with many commenters praising the woman’s courage, while others expressed shock at the rising cases of scams targeting POS agents.</p>
