Controversy erupts as Nigerian street-hop artiste, Portable sentenced to three months imprisonment with an option of a ₦30,000 fine.

According to reports, Portable was convicted on a three-count charge for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

The incident occurred in March 2023 after Portable physically attacked Inspector Hammed Moshood at Odogwu Bar, Oke-Osa, Ilogbo, resulting harm to the officer’s nose.

Following his bail breach, Portable was eventually apprehended and remanded in custody before being convicted by the Magistrate Court in Ifo, Ogun State.

The controversy surrounding his sentencing has sparked buzz online, with his management team yet to break silence

Notably, Portable was recently embroiled in a lawsuit with the Ogun State government and granted ₦2 million bail.

Additionally, he was involved in a defamation lawsuit with renowned Fuji icon, Saheed Osupa.
