Manchester City have secured the services of 18-year-old Brazilian defender Vitor Reis from Palmeiras.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed that the transfer will happen “immediately.”
Vitor Reis, who has been making waves in Brazilian football, has agreed on personal terms with City.
The transfer fee for the promising centre-back is set around €40 million.
This deal comes after intense negotiations between Manchester City and Palmeiras, with the English club eager to avoid competition from other interested teams.
While Palmeiras had initially aimed to retain Reis for the upcoming Club World Cup, the immediate nature of this transfer suggests a departure from that plan.
Reis, who has already shown considerable promise at such a young age, will now be tasked with adapting to the rigors of the Premier League under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.
