A Pakistani immigrant tragically passed away while trying to escape a house fire after the ladder he was using collapsed.

The incident was captured in a video shared on the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

According to a report by @Breaking911, the victim, Ashiq Hussain, a 53-year-old Pakistani immigrant, was attempting to flee the fire through a second-floor window using a ladder when it gave way.

He fell, hitting his head on the pavement, and later died at the hospital.

The post read: “HORROR IN NYC: FDNY probes fatal ladder failure in Brooklyn fire rescue. Ashiq Hussain (53), Pakistani immigrant, fell from a 2nd floor window while escaping a fire on Monday. The ladder collapsed, causing Hussain to strike his head on the pavement. He later died at the hospital.”

The attached video shows the moment he tried to escape through the ladder and the tragic fall.
