Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen delivered a standout performance with a brace, but it wasn’t enough to secure victory as Galatasaray were held to a 3-3 draw by Kasimpasa in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday.

Osimhen’s double took his league tally to 16 goals this season, but Galatasaray’s title hopes took a hit as they dropped crucial points.

The Nigerian forward was a constant menace to the Kasimpasa defense and got on the scoresheet early, coolly converting a penalty in the 11th minute to put the visitors ahead.

However, Kasimpasa responded strongly after the break. Mortadha Ben Ouanes equalized in the 52nd minute, before Josip Brekalo put the hosts ahead in the 61st minute.

Galatasaray fought back through Davinson Sánchez’s 69th-minute header, and Osimhen struck again just two minutes later, restoring their lead at 3-2.

But just as Galatasaray seemed poised for victory, Haris Hajradinovic converted a late penalty, ensuring Kasimpasa rescued a point in an electrifying contest.
