We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Import Coordinator

Job Locations: Lagos

Department: Customer Service

Description

  • Ensure procedural compliance and adequate validation of relevant documents, systems and details before processing Delivery Order.
  • Ensure Delivery Orders and transmitted to the correct terminals and in a timely manner.
  • Manage, trouble shoot and resolve transaction issues and exceptions in an effective and timely manner. Drive SLA compliance within your team and amongst internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adequate follow up of all issues as when due
  • .Ensure compliance with company’s policy and procedures as well as compliance with the government policies and industry guidelines.
  • Ensure that all virtual and physical information used on our processes are accurate, communicated to the right parties, and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper archiving / storage of key information and documents.
  • Assist to drive e-commerce integration
  • Assist with rollout of global, district and country change initiatives.
  • Manage relationships and correspondence internally and externally.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with other departments and locations internally, as well as key external stakeholders; inclusive of authorities and stakeholder groups
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Maintain adequate records of transactions.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement where feasible, and support the organization to implement improvements for sustainable impact
  • Other tasks as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • First Degree in in Maritime, Shipping, or related disciplines
  • Between 3-5 years of prior experience in similar capacity.
  • Strong relationship management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken in English
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Web-based and email programs

2.) Human Resources Coordinator

Job Locations: Apapa, Lagos

Department: Human Resources

Description

  • Create and implement effective on-boarding plans
  • Managing and coordinating the entire recruitment and selection process
  • Provide practical support for the HR team in general in matters of employee relations.
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Provide HR support in driving implementation of organizational strategy
  • Review employee performance issues in conjunction with line management, investigate related issues and challenges, socialize mitigating options with HR Management and offer pragmatic solution to line management
  • Facilitate the resolution of grievance, conflict, and complex relational issues in line with HR policies and guidelines
  • Answer employees queries about HR-related issues
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Provide guidance to line managers on HR policies, ensuring the right interpretation of the policies are applied in managing human resources in the departmental level and champion the implementation of new HR policies
  • Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports about HR activities to Management
  • Monitor and manage the entire leave administration process including annual leave, maternity leave, sick leave, exam leave etc.

Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) with at least 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Relevant professional certification in CIPM, CIPD, PHRi, SPHRi, etc.
  • Knowledge of good employee relations practice and experience of developing and facilitating effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Good knowledge of employment law and good HR practice and experience of interpreting legislation/best practice and formulating and implementing appropriate policies in a practical way
  • Highly inquisitive mind and the ability to research a subject in full and produce meaningful reports and conclusions. Ability to think clearly, formulate HR strategy and articulate this to senior managers.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • High level of IT literacy in a networked Windows environment, including extensive use of Microsoft office software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint and “advanced” level MS Excel. At ease using e-mail as a communication tool, the internet as a research tool and some knowledge/experience of using HR Information Systems and intranets.
  • Good presentation skills, able to summarize and promote a position to a diverse audience.
  • Able to champion HR initiatives such as diversity, employee engagement and wellbeing.

3.) District Logistics Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • System updates for Out of Sequence (OOS) containers and EDI errors
  • Update EDI for VLP-BI database for Global Operation/Documentation purposes
  • Checking of Line allocation (Load factors), OOG kill slots count
  • Coordinates with other departments, ships, charterers, ports, agents, partners etc
  • Updating vessels ROB and ACR
  • ZIMAPS costing (Logistics) update
  • Regional daily empties stock report and container Inventory update.
  • Creation of Depots
  • Bookings / EDI / Final load list / Information’s etc emails to relevant parties.
  • Monitor the discharge and load progress related cargo operation
  • Reconciliation with HQ excess loading on partners vessels
  • Secure swap deal with partners
  • Scale-in and scale-out of on-hire/off hire containers
  • Global Logistics Planning update
  • Neutralized containers in West/South Africa
  • Preparing of stowman (cxml file) for Central Planning Purpose (ZIM/GSL Vessels)
  • Regional Vessel planning and Coordination through the Macs3 software
  • Restow cost Initiative / actual operator/terminal of the shifting cost (Macs3 Planning).

Requirements

  • First Degree in Maritime, Shipping, or related disciplines.
  • Between 10-15 years of prior experience in similar capacity.
  • A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
  • Strong relationship management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

4.) Africa District Business Analyst

Job Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Estimating costs and identifying business savings
  • Analyzing commercial data such as budgets, sales results, and forecasts
  • Defining reporting and defining alerting requirements
  • Implementing and testing of solutions
  • Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
  • Propose new innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Between 5-8 years of prior experience in business analysis or a related field.
