Military sources confirmed that several terrorists were killed, while others sustained injuries. However, attempts to obtain further details on the post-strike assessment from Operation Hadin Kai’s spokesperson, Lt. Col. Jingina, were unsuccessful, as he neither answered nor returned calls.

Meanwhile, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, has strongly condemned the recent wave of terrorist attacks, killings, and kidnappings in communities within his district.

In a statement issued in Kaduna on Wednesday, Katung expressed deep concern over the escalating violence, which has caused immense suffering and hardship for the people. He specifically highlighted the recent abduction of 22 residents, mostly women and children, in separate incidents in the Kauru Local Government Area of Southern Kaduna.

These atrocities against our people must not continue unchecked. They must stop now,” he declared.

The senator reaffirmed his commitment to the protection of lives, citing Section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which states that the security and welfare of the people are the government’s primary responsibility.

“I will continue to take every necessary step to ensure the safety of our people,” he vowed.

Katung also called on security agencies to intensify efforts in safeguarding lives and property across Southern Kaduna and urged local residents to collaborate with authorities by providing intelligence that could lead to the capture of criminals and their accomplices.
