AC Milan coach Sergio Conceiçao has not guaranteed more playing time for Fikayo Tomori, but praises Kyle Walker’s contributions for the club.
He hopes the Manchester City defender maintains his strong form until the end of the season.
Speaking ahead of Milan’s Serie A clash with Napoli, Conceiçao assessed the performances of the club’s English players—Walker, Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
“Walker has settled in well. He has a lot of experience, both on and off the pitch, and has done everything asked of him.
“He is a fantastic professional, and I hope he continues like this,” Conceiçao said via Milannews.
Loftus-Cheek, who recently returned from injury, was also highlighted for his versatility.
“He is an important player with impressive numbers from last season. He can play as an attacking midfielder or in a box-to-box role, depending on the team’s needs.”
However, when asked about Tomori’s lack of game time, Conceiçao did not offer assurances. “It depends on his form. I have great confidence in all our central defenders,” he stated.
Milan currently sit ninth in Serie A, six points behind fourth-placed Bologna.
