Scott McTominay has capped off a remarkable debut season in Italy by being named Serie A Best overall Player for the 2024/25 campaign, after scoring the title-winning goal for Napoli.

The former Manchester United midfielder delivered when it mattered most, opening the scoring in Napoli’s 2-0 win over Cagliari at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

With Inter temporarily ahead in their game against Como, McTominay’s breakthrough, followed by a Romelu Lukaku strike, sealed Napoli’s second Scudetto in three years.

“The sacrifice from every player in this group is incredible. The people deserve it as they have been behind us from day one. For me to come here and experience this, it’s just a dream,” McTominay told DAZN.

He ends the season with 11 goals and 6 assists in 33 league appearances, a personal best.
