Celebrity skincare vendor Marymic has stirred social media reactions with a dramatic gesture at her wedding ceremony held on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
This came months after Marymic publicly revealed that her husband offered her the choice between an extravagant wedding and N18 million in capital to boost her business.
She chose N18M after which they had a moderate traditional ceremony and have now sealed the union with a lavish white wedding celebration.
The entrepreneur, known for her luxury skincare brand and lavish lifestyle, went viral after kneeling in her white wedding gown to receive her ring from her husband during the official exchange of vows.
The moment occurred as the officiating pastor instructed the groom to place the wedding band on Marymic’s finger. Rather than simply extending her hand, the bride surprised many by going on her knees.
This was seen by some as a deep expression of humility and reverence, and by others as controversial.
