<p><b>Job Introduction</b><br />
 Adexen was mandated by a multinational Maritime and Oil &; Gas Group to recruit an experienced Expatriate Marine Technical Superintendent for its operations. The position is based in Lagos.</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for implementing and monitoring the maintenance policy according to Class and Flag regulations.</li>
<li>Be responsible for developing and implementation of Group QHSE policy onboard the vessel.</li>
<li>Control and monitor the OPEX/ CAPEX technical cost vs budget.</li>
<li>Ensure proper achievement of routine maintenance aiming to optimize technical vessel availability rate.</li>
<li>Responsible for performing cost effective, safe, efficient and high-quality repairs according to Class requirements.</li>
<li>Coordinate between vessels and Group procurement department to ensure spare parts are delivered in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Control vessels’ requisitions and orders related to parts services and supplies.</li>
<li>Monitor and ensure effective use of computerized maintenance management system.</li>
<li>Ensure vessel technical survey is carried out once a year per vessel.</li>
<li>Ensure repairs by assisting Crew to establish diagnosis, and giving instruction to fix.</li>
<li>Participate in incident investigations to fix breakdowns, and deal with emergency issues.</li>
<li>Visit physically vessels on a regular basis and in case of emergency as well.</li>
<li>Prepare technically, follow-up and ensure reactivation of stacked vessels in accordance with Flag and Class requirements.</li>
<li>Ensure technical failures are systematically reported and keeping technical and operations managers updated.</li>
<li>Coordinate and follow up dry docks and repairs</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Desired Skills and Experience</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering</li>
<li>Master&#8217;s degree is a plus</li>
<li>Hold a Chief Engineer Certificate of Competence will be an advantage</li>
<li>At least 7 years of experience as Marine Engineer or Chief Engineer, or equivalent position in Maritime or Oil and Gas company</li>
<li>Previous experience in a similar senior position within an international organization is preferred</li>
<li>Sound organization skills and rigorous and ability to interact, produce and report with a professional approach at all times</li>
<li>Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, prioritize matters and meet deadlines</li>
<li>Willing to work autonomously and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment</li>
<li>Previous experience in Africa / Nigeria is a plus</li>
