Manchester United have set their sights on Real Madrid’s midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni as a potential long-term replacement for Casemiro.
The 24-year-old French star has become a target for the Red Devils, who are preparing to part ways with their current midfielder, Casemiro, in the ongoing transfer window.
According to reports from Fichajes in Spain, United will face competition from Chelsea and Liverpool in their pursuit of Tchouameni.
The young midfielder’s skills and potential have made him a desirable asset for these top Premier League clubs.
Meanwhile, Casemiro, aged 32, is on the market with a significantly reduced price tag.
Initially acquired by United from Real Madrid for around £60m in the summer of 2022, he could now be available for under £30m, which is less than half of what United paid.
Interest in Casemiro has primarily come from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, according to TBR Football.
This move would also help Manchester United to manage their wage bill, given Casemiro’s substantial weekly earnings.
