Manchester United are advancing plans to sign Wolves striker Matheus Cunha and Ipswich forward Liam Delap in a double deal worth up to £92.5 million.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are also exploring a potential swap deal involving Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
Manager Ruben Amorim is set to oversee a major squad overhaul at Old Trafford following a lacklustre 2024/25 campaign.
According to The Telegraph, United are ready to meet Cunha’s £62.5m release clause in instalments, aiming to inject more firepower into a side that has scored just 38 goals in 33 Premier League matches.
In addition, United are pursuing 21-year-old Delap, who has a £30m clause in his Ipswich contract, after his breakout season saw him net 12 Premier League goals.
Cunha has also impressed, scoring 14 times for Wolves this term.
With budget constraints in play, the Red Devils are also weighing a move for Nigeria international Victor Osimhen.
As per Daily Mail, the club may offload underperforming forwards including Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony.
There is also speculation that Rasmus Hojlund could be included in a part-exchange to facilitate Osimhen’s arrival from Galatasaray via Napoli, where he previously starred.
Napoli are said to be interested in Alejandro Garnacho, though United prefer a straight sale to maximise financial return by registering the transfer as academy profit.
Manchester United return to action on Sunday against Bournemouth, before travelling to Spain to face Athletic Club in the Europa League semi-final first leg.
