<p>A tragedy occurred in Ibadan on Monday morning as an unidentified man reportedly fell from one of the top floors of the iconic 26-storey <strong>Cocoa House</strong>, located in the heart of Oyo State’s capital.</p>
<p>Eyewitnesses at the scene described the moment as shocking and surreal.</p>
<p>One witness, still shaken, recounted, “<em>When the incident happened, I initially thought it was a large bird falling from the sky. It was only when the person landed that I realised it was a human being.”</em></p>
<p><em>*“I had my phone with me but I couldn’t even record anything because I was completely shocked,”</em> the witness added.</p>
<p>Another passerby said, “<em>The victim first hit a roof beside the security post before crashing to the ground. It was a terrifying sight.”</em></p>
<p>The circumstances surrounding the fall remain unclear as investigations are ongoing. Whether the fall was accidental, intentional, or due to structural issues has yet to be determined.</p>
<p>In an official statement issued on Tuesday, Odu’a Investment Company Limited—the firm managing Cocoa House—confirmed the incident and revealed that emergency services responded quickly.</p>
<p>Victor Ayetoro, the Head of Branding and Communication at the company, said;</p>
<p><em>“The individual involved was swiftly attended to by the emergency response team and taken to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, for urgent medical attention.”</em></p>
<p>He assured the public that the company is fully cooperating with authorities to uncover the cause of the fall and reiterated its commitment to safety.</p>
<p><em>“The company expressed deep concerns over the development and assured the public of its full cooperation with authorities investigating the cause of the fall,</em>”he added.</p>
<p>As of the time of this report, the condition of the victim has not been disclosed, and no official identification has been released.</p>
