<p><b>Job description</b>: Goal: Under limited supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the maintenance of school facilities; and performs related duties as assigned.</p>
<p> Peformance Responsibilities: </p>
<ul>
<li>Troubleshoot maintenance problems involving plumbing, structural, electrical and equipment repair or replacement.</li>
<li>Perform preventive building maintenance duties.</li>
<li>Peform routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.</li>
<li>Perform routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assist in repairing ballast and light fixtures.</li>
<li>Assemble and move furniture, hang picutres and bulletin boards, move and set up table and chairs.</li>
<li>Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls.</li>
<li>Paints interior and exterior walls.</li>
<li>Electrical and/or HVAC skills &#8211; required</li>
<li>EPA Certified for Refrigerant &#8211; required</li>
</ul>
<p> Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Competencies required: </p>
<ul>
<li>Must have High School Diploma or GED &#8211; Required</li>
<li>Valid Arizona Driver&#8217;s License &#8211; Required</li>
<li>Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair.</li>
<li>Knowledge of methods, materieals, tools used in facility maintenance.</li>
<li>Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.</li>
<li>Skilled in using hand and power tools.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.</li>
<li>Able to work indoors and outdoors.</li>
<li>Perform other related duties and responsibilities as directed by the immediate supervisor.</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Physical Requirements and Work Environment:</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.</li>
<li>Mandatory pre-employment drug testing.</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Terms of Employment:</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Grade 5 on the Classified Pay Scale</li>
<li>Working Days &#8211; 12 Month At-Will; M-Th, 10- hours per day</li>

<ul>
<li>Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board&#8217;s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.</li>
