<p><strong>Leicester City</strong> are weighing up a move for former Southampton boss <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/russell-martin"><strong><u><b>Russell Martin</b></u></strong></a> to replace under-fire head coach <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/ruud-van-nistelrooy"><strong><u><b>Ruud van Nistelrooy</b></u></strong></a>.</p>
<p>The club’s hierarchy are reportdely preparing for a potential managerial change ahead of next season.</p>
<p>Van Nistelrooy, appointed in November to steady the ship after Steve Cooper’s departure, has overseen a dismal run of form, with the Foxes recording just one Premier League win in 2025.</p>
<p>While the Dutchman remains liked by some within the boardroom, others are pushing for a reset as Leicester fight for survival and plan for the long-term.</p>
<p>Martin, 39, was sacked by Southampton despite strong performances in the Championship earlier this season.</p>
<p>His commitment to a possession-based style has drawn admiration at the King Power, particularly given the club’s recent promotion under Enzo Maresca using a similar approach.</p>
