<p>Human rights activist, <strong><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/Inibehe-Effiong">Inibehe Effiong</a></strong> has provided an update about viral teenager, <strong><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/Yusuf-Alabi">Yusuf Alabi</a></strong>, currently detained at Kirikiri correctional center.</p>
<p>Recall that <strong>Yusuf Alabi, who went viral during Peter Obi’s campaign rally in 2023, </strong>was detained at the Kirikiri Medium Correctional Centre over alleged theft and physical altercation charges.</p>

<p>According to reports, Yusuf Alabi was attacked by area boys, while returning from work at night, who handed him over to security operatives.</p>
<p>However, this incident sparked buzz online, prompting Inibehe Effiong’s involvement to secure his release.</p>
<p>In a recent development, Inibehe Effiong announced via Facebook that Yusuf Alabi’s court hearing is scheduled for April 17, 2025, at 9 am.</p>
<p>This follows after the court granted an earlier date at the request of Effiong’s team and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).</p>

<p><em>I am pleased to share that Quadri Alabi is going be produced by the authorities of the Nigerian Correctional Service before the Court tomorrow by 9 AM.</em></p>
<p><em>His case was supposed to come up before the court on 28th April, 2025.</em></p>
<p><em>We wrote to the Court to vary the date and to fix the case for tomorrow, Thursday 17th April. The DPP equally made the same application.</em></p>
<p><em>I am delighted to confirm that the variation application has been granted and hearing date has been varied and brought forward as prayed.</em></p>
<p><em>We will be with Quadri and his family at the Apapa Magistrate Court located at Orege, Ajegunle – Sikiru Adagun Courthouse (Court No. 9).</em></p>
<p><em>The reason for this development will be provided at the court.</em><em>History will vindicate the just.</em></p>
