Barcelona captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen is among delegates that attended the funeral of late team doctor, Carles Miñarro Garcia, who passed away on Saturday afternoon in his sleep.
The funeral took place on Tuesday at a cemetery in the Port Olimpic area of Barcelona, with a strong Barcelona delegation present.
Club president Joan Laporta, Director of Football Deco, Vice-President Rafa Yuste, and assistant Bojan Krkic were among those in attendance.
A full delegation from Espanyol also paid their respects.
Miñarro’s sudden passing led to the postponement of Barcelona’s La Liga match against Osasuna.
The Blaugrana will return to action on Tuesday evening against Benfica in the Champions League Round of 16.
The team will wear black armbands, and UEFA has approved a minute of silence in his honor.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick acknowledged the emotional impact of the loss but emphasized the team’s determination to win and dedicate the victory to Miñarro.
