As Lagos evolves into a smart city, LBSL is positioned to create a very competitive space in the Transport Industry where urban mobility guarantees a market for mass transit transport operators; with availability and pricing as key decision drivers. LBSL is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the orderliness, proper coordination and progress of the Transport Industry in Lagos. We are recruiting to fill the position below:</p>
<p> Job Title: Supply Chain Manager<br />
 <br /> Location: Oshodi, Lagos<br />
 <br /> Employment Type: Full-time</p>
<p> Job Objective(s) </p>
<ul>
<li>Support LBSL through the design and implementation of value driven procurement and inventory strategies, for service efficiency</li>
<li>Monitor and manage the supply chain processes in conformity with best industry practice</li>
<li>Contribute to the cost management initiatives by maintaining appropriate economic quantity of stock items</li>
<li>Plan, coordinate and oversee supply chain strategy and operations</li>
<li>Support other departments and units in their supply chain related efforts</li>
<li>Resolve challenges that affect operational performance</li>
<li>Liaise with appropriate authorities for supply chain emergencies</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Plan, coordinate and oversee all purchasing activities, manage and develop supplier/vendor relationships and negotiations</li>
<li>Drive cost reduction and support revenue growth by ensuring appropriately managed supply chain</li>
<li>Work closely with user departments (e.g. facilities management team) in handling of objections and complaints in regard to stocks items and related services</li>
<li>Liaise with other departments/units to ensure accuracy in demand forecasts, and generate supply plans for year-round availability of business-critical stock items (and related service)</li>
<li>Consistently ensure measurements and evaluation of supplier/vendor performance</li>
<li>Keep abreast of relevant economic, industry, supply market, and business conditions</li>
<li>Maintain a “no surprises” supply chain environment</li>
<li>Proffer appropriate solutions for all supply chain operational challenges</li>
<li>Provide timely updates to GLC, for supply assurance</li>
<li>Ensure compliance to formal sourcing, procurement policies and preferred supplier/vendor agreements</li>
<li>Ensure accurate records of all materials and stock items</li>
<li>Ensure economic order quantity and minimum re-order levels are maintained on all stock items</li>
<li>Provide clear direction and undertake performance monitoring of the Supply Chain Team</li>
<li>Ensure clear documentation of procurement and inventory related processes, and adherence by the SC team</li>
<li>Manage resources (human, technology and physical), through good practices, communication systems, and performance management techniques</li>
<li>Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities</li>
<li>Monitor inventory turnover, reduce waste, and mitigate inventory holding costs.</li>
<li>Ensure competitive pricing from Suppliers/Vendors</li>
<li>Efficiently negotiate orders and contracts</li>
<li>Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, inventory requirements/planning, inventory control and warehousing</li>
<li>Implement organizational process or policy changes</li>
<li>Develop and appropriately utilise material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.</li>
<li>Periodically review Supply Chain protocols continue to meet LBSL operational needs</li>
<li>The Supply Chain Manager will place his/her full working capabilities at the disposal of LBSL, and based on work exigencies, LBSL reserves the right to assign additional responsibilities to the role</li>
</ul>
<p> Required Qualifications and Work Experience </p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Business, Finance, or a related field of study</li>
<li>Possession of a master&#8217;s degree will be an added advantage.</li>
<li>5 (Five) years Supply Chain Management supervisory experience</li>
<li>Ability to translate strategies into action, and follow through to goal attainment</li>
<li>Proven high level of integrity, transparency, and team spirit</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead and energize others</li>
<li>Exposure to procurement process in a logistics company will be an added advantage.</li>
<li>Familiarity with in-house maintenance of vehicles will be an added advantage.</li>
<li>Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN) is desirable</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Knowledge / Skills:</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Competency in procurement and inventory management software</li>
<li>Project Management Administration</li>
<li>A good grasp of transportation economics and related market dynamics</li>
<li>Ability to build buy-in with multiple stakeholders, even with conflicting priorities</li>
<li>Ability to develop, interpret and apply required policies and procedures</li>
<li>Proven ability to adhere to ethical standards and good management principles</li>
<li>Ability to address tactical business concerns with practical near-term and sustainable solutions</li>
<li>Proven time management skills particularly for deadlines and targets</li>
<li>Proven experience in monitoring service performance levels.</li>
<li>Strong background in contemporary supply chain, sourcing, purchasing and inventory management methods and tools</li>
<li>Knowledge of analytics, behavioural and motivational factors, affecting decision making</li>
<li>Exemplary negotiating skills and innovative approach to assigned duties</li>
<li>Hands on leadership style, team facilitation and engaging interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to pay attention to details on all issues and concerns</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure</li>
<li>Ability to effectively prioritize workload and effectively manage changes in direction and priority</li>
