A Nigerian lady has accused a delivery company, Courierplus, of scamming her after paying ₦11,056 to send a package from Yola to Ibadan, which remains undelivered several weeks later.

She made the allegation in a post shared on her page via the popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter).

Delivery company dragged after package sent from Yola to Ibadan fails to arrive
Lady demands refund after as company fails to deliver package.

According to her, she hired the services of @CourierplusNG on March 5 to deliver a package.

Despite making full payment, the package has yet to reach its destination more than a month later.

In her words: “Twitter, please I have been cheated by @CourierplusNG. I sent a package to Yola from Ibadan since 5th March and paid ₦11,056 for delivery. Up till today, the package has not been delivered. I have refunded the customer, but Courierplus has misplaced my package and refused to refund me.”

She further lamented: “I have sent countless emails, but they have refused to respond. Their Ibadan representative said his hands are tied. The total amount refunded to the customer is ₦56,000. Please help me repost until I can get my money back. I’m just a small business owner and this company is trying to cheat me because they’re big.”

The lady also shared a conversation with one of the company’s staff, expressing her frustration: “This was the response from their Ibadan rep as of last night. He keeps saying his hands are tied and he is still expecting the goods. I’m so tired. I’m really overwhelmed.”

As the post gained attention online, concerned individuals flooded the comment section to show support and share their opinions.

@thetosintoge: “@CourierplusNG please don’t be unfortunate and return the money! It’s bad enough you can’t even deliver but misplacing the package is where we draw the line!!”

@NaijaMovee: “If a company can not guarantee that goods in transit will reach their destination on time, it calls into question the very purpose of offering courier services. Real-time tracking could have mitigated this issue, but the company lacks this feature and many other innovative tech.”

@capt_achiever: “Did you insure the package or did the courier state anywhere in their policy that there is an insurance cover on goods shipped with them? If not, you may not have a case o.”

@Adey_Rid: “@CourierplusNG shey e fe pasan aiye??? Make una refund person money nau.”
