Maidenhead as well as Frimley ICS&comma; are revolutionising the landscape of public health within our Integrated Care System&period; Spanning two local authorities and within the Frimley ICS&comma; this role is strategically positioned to infuse public health principles at System&comma; with opportunities to share some services including health protection and health intelligence across a wider system Geography&period; Our aspiration is to further develop this model&comma; enhancing joint commissioning services where it is beneficial to do so and shared resources&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Both Councils embrace agile&sol;hybrid working but when you are office based this will either be at the Bracknell Forest Council Office &lpar;Time Square&rpar; or at the Town Hall&comma; St Ives Road&comma; Maidenhead&period; Even though we embrace remote working&comma; our team remains cohesive&comma; engaging in regular virtual meetings and maintaining close collaboration with partner organisations spanning local government&comma; the NHS&comma; and the voluntary and community sector&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> The key responsibilities of this role are as follows&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Spearhead the development of the public health system across Bracknell Forest and The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to enhance residents&&num;8217&semi; health and well-being&comma; mitigate health inequalities&comma; and safeguard local communities from health threats such as infectious diseases and environmental hazards&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Collaborate with public health teams across East Berkshire&comma; Surrey&comma; and Hampshire to ensure a cohesive public health input into the Frimley Commissioning Collaborative and ICS&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Support Chief Executives and Councillors in crafting the delivery arrangements for public health&&num;8217&semi;s statutory functions and the strategic agendas of both Local Authorities&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Act as the chief officer and principal adviser on public health to the two Councils&comma; You should be registered as a Public Health Specialist with the General Medical Council &lpar;GMC&rpar; or the UK Public Health Register &lpar;UKPHR&rpar;&comma; possessing a high level of expertise and the ability to convey this knowledge effectively within and beyond our system&period; You must have a proven track record of driving positive change in population health and addressing health disparities&period; Additionally&comma; you should be a persuasive communicator capable of inspiring and motivating actions across organisations&comma;
