The IT department sits within the Corporate Services directorate and plays an important part in enabling Roke to deliver customer work. The department provides effective, compliant, secure, and resilient technical infrastructures, allowing our people to work effectively wherever they are based.

Based in New Gloucester office, The successful candidate may have to travel to other Roke sites from time to time.

Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities

  • Highly effective triage, prioritisation, resolution and escalation of Incidents and Service Requests
  • Early identification of problems and liaise with 3rd line and IT Delivery teams on Problem Management
  • Provide a highly efficient and customer focused IT Service Desk to the wider business
  • Handle all forms of customer interaction – tickets, emails, phone,
  • Support IT hardware, laptops, client suites and mobile devices
  • Software support
  • Basic network support across all networks – Wi-Fi, patching etc.
  • Windows and Linux support and Basic M365 support and administration
  • Participate in work patterns or rotas necessary to cover the required service hours to meet the needs of the business,

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

IT Technology Delivery Team, broadly responsible for delivering all user facing IT technology to the business and users, across all networks including Windows and Linux, thin and fat clints, Laptops, Mobile phones and AV and conferencing Kit
