Inter’s Marcus Thuram faced harsh criticism from French outlet L’Equipe following France’s defeat to Germany in Saturday’s friendly match.
The striker, who started the game, struggled to make any impact and was substituted in the 61st minute.
Thuram’s performance was described as “isolated” by L’Equipe, pointing out his lack of involvement in the game.
He managed just one shot and completed only 12 passes throughout the match, failing to keep his usual form.
The scathing review from L’Equipe gave Thuram a dismal rating, while missing out on opportunity to show his abilities ahead of the upcoming European Championship.
Despite his struggles for France, Thuram has been a key player for Inter Milan this season, forming a strong partnership with teammate Lautaro Martinez.
